OUTSTANDING!!! That is the best way to describe tonight's class.  As I sit here eating my nightly helping of Oreo ice cream I am reminded of of tonight's class every time I lift my arms, turn my head or simply move any portion of my body.  We spent about half of the class running kata.  We then padded-up for for some very spirited sparring.  Almost everybody was in the mood to kick things up several notches and really throw some hard punches and kicks.

Grandmaster Mills joined us for the sparring and reminded us that no matter how good we think we are, he can still whip us any time he wants to.  It is always a pleasure to spar with him.  He never ceases to amaze me and I always walk away leaning something new.  Words cannot express my appreciation for his leadership over the past 12 years.

I would like to personally thank Sensei Terry Chesney for joining us tonight.  I have always looked up to Terry for his fighting ability.  He forces me to bring my "A" game every time we square up.  No matter how hard you hit him he just keeps coming and he is normally smiling as he does it.  Terry is a great martial artist and a good friend.  I look forward to many more years of training with him.

Jason Bailey received his green belt.  Jason is a fantastic karate-ka.  He has a bright future ahead of him in the martial arts.  Great job Jason!

Chad Bailey was awarded the Isshin-ryu Karate-Ka of the Month.  Chad's had work in kata and kumite have really improved in the past few weeks.  Keep up the hard work Chad.
