Oh My!!! Tonight was outstanding. The Halls and Karns dojo met at the North Knox dojo and we had a terrific night. We had just a little over 30 in attendance. I would like to thank Master McMahan for allowing us to join his class. We are hoping to be able join the classes together once a month and rotate our locations each time. This is a wonderful way for everyone to get to know each other and learn from each other.
I had the privilege of warming up the class. This is something, I must say, I truly enjoy. After warming everyone up, Master McMahan got everyone's blood pumping with some killer kicking drills. I am sure everyone will be filling those in the morning. Master Tolliver followed that up with some self defense drills. After that we padded up for some sparring. I had the opportunity to spar with mostly people I had never sparred with before. That is what makes nights like this so great for the martial artist. If you spar only in your dojo you get used to the way your fellow students spar and the typical movements they make. By sparring with new people or people you haven't sparred with in a while, it forces you to bring your A game and really be on your toes. Sensei Chris and I typically do not spar with each other very often. This way we continue to push each other to bring out our best.
I am looking forward to next month when we get together at the Karns dojo.

Thanks to all who came from the Universal Family to work out & have a great time. The kicking drills & kumite sessions were real beneficial to all of us. Grandmaster Mills presence is always inspiring as it motivates us all to improve our training & skills {especially when his observing eyes are upon us!} Thank you Grandmaster Mills for being there for us again. Remember to train hard when your in class & practice what youve learned when youre away from class to retain knowledge so you can pass on what is taught to you.
