Well it has been a while since I have commented on one of our classes.  I would have made my comment last night but my wife is a "Big Brother" fanatic and had to keep up with the live feeds on her computer after the show went  off.  Plus I just didn't feel like blogging last night because I was out of ice cream.  It really is just not the same without the help of that frozen treat.

Classes, in my opinion, have been really great.  The past two Thursday's we have had tremendous nights of sparring.  Last night in particular you could almost call it a fight class instead of sparring.  Everyone seemed to be in the mood to throw hard and heavy.  We even got to see a little blood from a couple of people.  Tuesdays have been full of kata, self defense and a little stick work.

Kent still insists on making fun of my "cosmo girl" warm-ups, but I have noticed he only does his talking before the warm-ups start.  I think that is because he is waaaayyyy to winded to say anything after they start.  I am very proud of all of our students.  The workouts the past month or so have been intense.  I firmly believe that they are all in the best shape I have ever seen them.

We have also had a few visitors.  Most noteably is Michael.  He is a 16 year old black belt in Kempo.  He has potential oozing out all over him.  I enjoy seeing young karate-ka like him pushing themselves and cross training in different styles.

I am also very proud of Sensei Chris for the work and effort he has been putting into class.  This is a great time of growth and maturity for him as an instructor.  It is one thing to stand on the front line as a black belt and instruct when asked or told what to teach, it is completely different when you are the head instructor and responsible for the training of all the students.  Chris' was a huge help to me when I was head instructor and it is my pleasure to return the favor now that he is in charge.

After last night im almost to tired to type.Brad was right about Michael, very good martial artist.Just seemed like every one that sparred with him introduced him to MR. ridge hand.He is somewhere between Jason and Christian.Very good company to be in.Hope Brads hand gets better, you could tell he really wanted to be out there last night.I feel like I got run over by a mack truck, but it was just Tyler,Chuck and Chris. And then after you spar those big guys you get lightning fast Christian,Jason,Devon and Michael. Even Michaels mom Katrina was hitting me with straight hands .I really missed Mick last night hope to see him next week.Brads warm ups are getting harder though.I believe in 4 or 5 months they will be up there with my daughters cheer leading exercises.Brad was right about Mr. Chris very good teacher.
