Another Great family night!!

Big Thanks the Sensei Hawkins and the Halls crew for their hospitality and hard work.

And a special thanks to Chris for his coordination efforts in keeping the night running so smoothly and almost letting me catch my breath before throwing me into another ring!

Grandmaster Mills "Street Defense" class was superb, taking some of our black belts most "feared" street situations and breaking them down piece by piece. He actually taught this "old dog" a few new tricks. I had the pleasure of partnering with Mike Swaggerty who was also my first opponent in the ring. Mike’s come a long way since he and Carol walked into the Halls Dojo Years ago and continues to impress me with his willingness to learn.

As for the kumite, I was totally impressed. All seven of the opponents I faced, most for the first time, showed considerable talent and ability.

The only disappointing moment for me was when I found out that we were not going to get milk and cookies after Brad’s "Gymboree" workout!
