NORTH KNOX KARATE TOUNAMENT AND SEMINAR
Everyone I've confirmed May 10, 2008 as our tournament day. I've set up a tournament page at northknoxisshinryu.com with more info. Basically it'll be a $20.00 entry fee with everyone receiving an award as well as a certificate for place in your division 1-4. Black belt grand champion in kumite, kata and team fighting will receive a beautiful crafted championship title belt. After the tournament we will have a 1hr seminar led by one of our Master Instructors. If you're interested in leading this seminar and are roku-dan are higher please contact me.
All proceeds from this event are going towards the furthering of Gods kingdom. I hope to have registration forms out to all head instructors very soon. Sensei's, I do ask that you encourage all of your students to attend this tournament. I will also need the help of all head instructor's to ensure this tournament is a success. I do hope all instructors go-dan and under will compete if possible. we will also have registration starting at 8:30 the day of the event.

thank you for attending one of my saturday classes mr. mcmahan. you and your student are to be applauded for the techniques that were shown, the extra bodies never hurt either. i hope you enjoyed yourselves. and i hope in the future we can really build these classes and possibly have a weekly exchanging of school knowledge. maybe next week we can do some of the drills you said you had for us. i would really like to bring in several masters and get there interpritations on techniques. all are welcome. i will get the word out about your tournament as well.

I had a wonderful time at the Lewis Dojo today. I want to thank Shane for inviting me and allowing me to share some basic mount and side control techniques.
I also want to thank Sensei, Baird for all of his work on sparring theory. He said that wasn't his forte teaching in the manner that he did. I have one thing to say to that, bull. Sensei Baird is an excellant instructor and showed as much. I encourage all that can to star attending these workouts. It's very informal and a great time to learn and just have fun. I hope to see more their in the weeks to come.

Now Kent that’s the way these nasty rumors get started. Although the offer to compete in the senior division was extended and extremely tempting, Alas my tournament days are over.
I will however be donating my entry fee to the church.
And I’m especially looking forward to seeing you at the next family night at Halls!
