Humble Words from Shane - My Newest Hero

Well thanks for coming guys. Sorry I didnt get to talk after the fight. I was pretty out of it. My first fight is in the books and I held my own for about a minute. I am proud of myself. I have watched the tape alot. He got me with a lucky punch. He wasnt even looking at me when he swung. I've got alot to improve on but lucky for me I've got great people around me who will push me. I will bounce back and I'm okay. Not a mark on me. He only landed two good punches. I will train hard and I will see him again. Once again thanks for supporting. It means alot to me.

For those of you who missed Shane's fight last night, you mised the chance of seeing a young martial artist show how much passio and desire he actually has for the martial arts.  Shane may have lost his fight but he earned a lot of respect from me and the others in the crowd.  A "lucky punch" has brought down many a fighter.

Shane, I m very proud of you and I can't wait to see your next fight.  I know that you will take this as a positive learning experience and use it to grow stonger and wiser.  If there is anything I can do to help, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you for your kind words. There is something you guys can do for my training. Continue to train with class and respect. You saw what happens when a fighter has zero class. He beat me in 2o seconds and then danced around like a monkey with a banana. This young man is also by the way a pro fighter. He has had 15 amatuer fights and three pro fights. Wow you are a pro and you beat an amatuer in his first fight. That is like me taking a white belt first day in the dojo and destroying him in sparring. No difference. I was set up to be the chump of the night. I think i held my own and could have beaten him had that punch landed anywhere else. Anyways let us grow from this. Win lose or draw always show respect and class. Makes us all better people.

    Shane,
In my opinion you proved all you needed to by stepping inside that cage.
Belive me when I say, everyone of us present that have trained with you felt a surge of pride when that bell rang and you came out swinging!
And if we are honest with ourselves, everyone one of us wanted to be you for that minute...

I would like to say thank you for your support as well. As Shanes Sensei I was proud of his showing, it takes alot to step up into a full contact cahllenge. I have had the wonderful opportunity and you do learn alot from that type of action. I plan to help him continue his journey and thank all of you again for helping him and support.
