Miss Me?

Hope this post finds everyone healthy, happy and training hard...

We've had some great classes this month with Master Mills taking the time to give some one on one time with as many students as he can ....

Evan and I are still banging away with the sticks and happy to have Stacy and Wayne showing some true interest and promise ....

Kumite has really picked up this month ... not sure if everyone is trying to get out all of their frustrations before the Holiday Breaks or if someones put a bounty on me head but either way it's been great to see the dedication and improvement especially from Wayne, Robbie and Kevin "the Maniac" Gentry.

Great seeing Master Tolliver at North Knox Monday night ... Let's keep him in our prayers as he starts his shoulder rehab and have him back swinging as soon as possible.

Don't forget Family Night at Halls on the 20th .... Alas I'll only be with you in spirit for my daughter is going to dazzle me with her first band concert that night but I hope to see you all at the Christmas Banquet if not before.

    Hey Mike,
Good to see all is well. I've had to miss the last couple family nights. My daughter has her first basketball practice the night of the next family night so can't make that one. I really wanted to hear about Master Mills trip. I've had to stay off the internet more at work. I guess they want us to use the computer for work. Crazy concept. Anyway hope to see y'all at the Christmas Banquet. Take care.
    Mark

      Hi Mark,
We were beginning to wonder what had happened to you .... Luckily I've had a couple of oppurtunities to chat with Master Mills about his trip but I like you hate missing any of these family nights, but Family has to trump family from time to time .....
If you need me to send Bradly by to talk to the powers that be about getting you some more internet time just let me know .... we got your back .....
See ya at the Banquet ......

The Next Family Night will be at North Knox in January ... Gregg told me he had something special planned to start off the new year ....
Don't forget next Thursday the 18th ... Christmas Banquet ... I hear we might have some old timers (other than Evan and I) in attendance this year .... Should be a great night .....

While I'm at it let me take just a minute to thank everyone for the wonderful year we've had ....

Thanks to Gregg for putting up with Evan and I disrupting class with our continuous banging of sticks ....

Thanks to Bradley for the weekly beatings and for never letting me forget we are having fun .....

Thanks to Ron Tolliver for being Ron Tolliver ... When you've been around as long as I have certain some individuals stand out as examples of what this is all about.

Thanks to Keith for somehow supplying a never ending group of new students excited about learning ....

Thanks to Jerry for his talented group of students and for being the glue that has held these Family Nights together!!

Thanks to Brandon for relighting the fire in not only myself but in all of our upper rank ...

Thanks to Doyle for letting me be a student again .... his insight has opened new doors in my training

Big Thanks to Evan who tied my first belt around my waist and hopefully if I am able to earn it will tie another in a few years .....

Last but not least to all you guys training day in a day out .... Kevin, Robbie, Mick, Christian, Devon, Mackenzie, Mark, Shane,Tyler and "Mad Dog" Derick  .... you guys are what make this all possible and worthwhile .....

Sorry if I've forgotten anyone but I'm terrible with names and I'll thank you in person when next I see you ....

Let's also try to remember that for most of us if it wasn't for one man we wouldn't be on the paths we are on now ....
So make the time at the Banquet or next family night to Thank Grandmaster Mills for hanging out that first "Pete Mills Karate" sign
and for the hard work he's put in to give us this wonderful opportunity .....

      See you all Thursday Night!!!!
